Reshaping Pride Organizations Nationwide
Advancing a Collective Vision
Indigiqueers is a community-driven organization dedicated to advocating for and supporting 2-Spirit communities across Canada. It works in partnership with a variety of organizations, including the Canada Council for the Arts, Fierté Canada Pride, and local groups such as Vancouver Pride Society, Fierté Timmins Pride, and the Indigiqueer Circle of Quebec.

Indigiqueers’ primary mission is to create and provide policy change frameworks for Pride organizations nationwide, with the goal of promoting inclusive and supportive futures for 2-Spirit communities within the broader Pride movement. To develop these frameworks, Indigiqueers convenes traditional gatherings in major cities like Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal, as well as in smaller communities like Timmins, Ontario.
These gatherings include sharing circles, where members of local 2-Spirit communities come together to collectively envision and discuss the best ways forward. In addition to the sharing circles, Indigiqueers also conducts research through an optional 10-question survey, which helps gather data to inform and drive the policy reforms necessary for creating more inclusive Pride environments for 2-Spirit individuals.
